Review of the new film: Know for Yourself
Review of the new film: Know for Yourself, that is taking sweeping the self improvement industry. Following the sensational success of The Secret a new genre of personal success films has emerged. Though Know for Yourself does belong in that genre it brings self improvement concepts to a new level. It is more focused on taking personal responsibility for your results and actually really going after what you have always wanted to have.
The one drawback I have constantly seen with most Law of Attraction resources is they show people why, but fail to show people how to change their habitual thinking. People go away feeling that all they have to do is think positively and focus on what they want. The viewer feels motivated and upbeat about their lives while they watch the movie. This can last for several hours or for some days until situations come up that hurl the person back into their old patterns of thinking. The Law of Attraction principles only produce results if the person applies them consistently, if they change their habitual patterns of thought and reactions.
I always had the opinion that self improvement films would never do more than motivate and inspire, that the very powerful self improvement resources would always be books and courses. However Know for Yourself actually did manage to take a different direction.
The film combines personal success stories from people the world over, and a roundtable mastermind amongst a group of self made millionaires. The structure works well since people respond to stories, they become motivated by stories and stories help them see what?s possible. Nevertheless that motivation can fade out. I feel the value of the movie was in the mastermind group conversation. These powerful leaders and entrepreneurs set a high standard for personal responsibility and laid out what it takes to create lasting change. They discussed a clear path for success and what changes someone needs to make to attain their dreams, but they also made it clear that to get real personal power you should use your influence for good in the world. You have to be the one to hold yourself to a very high standard.
I didn’t get the meaning of the film’s title at the beginning, but I now feel that it was a very apt title. Know for Yourself is about getting out of the herd, making your own decisions and choosing what to believe, not just sticking to the ideas and beliefs of the masses.
The one thing I didn?t like was that the format of the roundtable discussion made some of the better points get lost in the mix. I loved the chance to eavesdrop on a millionaire mastermind, but I found myself wishing they were talking directly to the screen so I could make sure I didn?t miss a word. It was only after I watched the film a second time that I picked up on some of the really powerful suggestions they were making.
I definitely recommend this movie to everyone who is ready to achieve their dream. If you only want to be motivated I would not suggest that you watch this film, because it requires a much higher level of personal responsibility for your results and your way of thinking. This DVD is a fantastic resource for people who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur and want a formula for success. This film should be in the library of all entrepreneurs. But be prepared to take on a higher level of responsibility for your life!

I finally figured out why some people are happy reading on their i-phone. It is because they really don’t read very much!! Either that or they just like their i-phone for the other functions it performs, which is fine, But I’m talking about serious reading here and the Kindle really has it over the I-phone!
I understand that publishers are making even more books available for the e-readers format and I have already ordered one for my husband for Christmas since he’s always wanting to borrow mine! And oh, did I mention he has an i-phone??
Anyway just wanted to say THANKS AMAZON! I LOVE MY KINDLE!!

I was really skeptical about the Kindle until my friend pulled one out of her purse and started reading with it. I was amazed at how much it was just like reading a book! After I got my own Kindle it only got better.
My main concern was the battery power part of it but then I found there was nothing to worry about. With the wireless disabled, the Kindle only uses power to turn the page! It’s just as good as reading a book only it weighs so much less. Amazon’s database is fabulous and I never have to worry about where to put a book when I’m through with it anymore.

I studied everything that I could find out there about the Sony Ebook reader and the Kindle. Here’s the differences I found:
- The Sony holds 160 Ebooks, the Kindle holds 200
- The Sony weighs 9 oz, the Kindle weighs 10 oz
- The Sony takes 4 hours to charge, the Kindle takes only 2 hours
- The Sony sells the book cover separately, the Kindle includes it.
The main difference that I noticed was that the Kindle was easier to turn the page. Sounds silly, but I really don’t want to think about turning a page when reading. I also liked the controls of the Kindle better even though I kinda liked the way the Sony looked. The Kindle also costs a little more, but I found it on sale and I’m really happy with my decision! If I wouldn’t have checked them out in person, I may have purchased the Sony just because of the name I’ve known for so long.

I don’t see what the big deal is, I bought the Sony Ebook reader because I know Sony and I love it! They both basically do the same thing and why try a brand I’m not familiar with when spending that kind of money. So what if the Kindle takes less time to charge, I sleep longer than that! Thanks Sony for another good product.

I knew right away when I went into the store and saw both the Sony and the Kindle by Amazon. The Kindle was my first choice. It’s just more comfortable for me, although I’ve always been a Sony kind of gal. I haven’t regretted my purchase for a second! I go nowhere without my Kindle now!
